Havana Nights

It seems like everyone's got Cuba on the brain these days. It makes sense, given the as of recently lessened restrictions on U.S. travel there. I gotta be honest though, I was really hoping to make it while it was still illegal. I dunno, I guess I'm a bit of a rule breaker with a slight adventurous streak. Even still, I definitely need to get my butt there ASAP. My boyfriend and I are thinking perhaps this coming February to celebrate his birthday and as a little respite from the Chicago cold. In the meantime, these shots are keeping me excited and intrigued. This site also has some great tips for travel to Cuba. Bookmarked!

Wanna Get Away

Summer is the perfect time for a quick and easy jaunt, especially with all the three day weekends to be had. Whether it's simply over to a friend's house for an all girl's sleepover, or a short hop to a nearby town, these bags will carry you wherever you go. And best of all- they won't break the bank. More cash for souvenirs and trips to the drive through ;)

Everything Is Design // Museum of the City of New York

One of the best parts of my last trip to NY was getting to see the incredible exhibit on Paul Rand at the Museum of the City of New York. A retrospective of the great designer's work in advertising and education, it covers his early days working on magazine covers to his time as an instructor at Yale and is fraught with inspirational work and words from the artist. If you'll be in town between now and September 7th, be sure to check it out!
