Dia.Lo.Gue. Artspace // Jakarta

When I began planning my graduation trip to Indonesia, I picked up a copy of the great Wallpaper City Guide: Jakarta and read about the wonderful Dia.Lo.Gue Artspace. We made it here on our last day in Jakarta, on the way to the airport (they were kind enough to allow us to store our bags in the cafe), and I'm so glad I didn't miss it. This multi-purpose space serves as both art gallery, shop, and cafe, with all the art and goods created by Indonesian artists. Dia.Lo.Gue also beautifully blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor, with the cafe and art spaces merging between the two through roofless patios and open slat walls. If you ever find yourself in the city, I highly recommend checking it out!

Cow + Co.

There's nothing I love more than finding a great new home goods site. So often though, I discover a new shop or source and find that it's an overseas company and they don't ship to the States. **cue panicked cries** However, Cow + Co has so many fantastic cute and modern housewares, AND they ship everywhere! Even better, they're having a great sale right now. Already saved a few items to my cart...

Modern Boheme

This Chicago apartment is essential my dream home. I'm absolutely loving the eclectic mix of vintage and modern and finds from abroad. Oh- and the gal who lives here? Also runs my dream shop.

#setinthestreet

Inspired by the streets of New York and the readily available discarded furniture often found on it, photographer Justin Bettman and prop stylist Gozde Eker joined forces to create these quirky street scenes of domestic areas on sidewalks throughout the city. Check out #setinthestreet to learn more about the project, and follow the hashtag to see how people are interacting with the installations.

Yearbook Studios // Forest Park, Il

Earlier this week, on one of the last days of 2014, a couple coworkers and I ventured out to the near Chicago suburb of Forest Park, Il to visit an archery range. While that was a blast, it wasn't the most photogenic establishment, so I won't go much into it here. However, along the way we passed by this awesome little shop, Yearbook Studios. Located on Madison Street, the shop is part home furnishings store, part design studio. The shop specializes in vintage, and vintage inspired housewares, gifts, and furniture, all with a cool, collegiate edge. Very preppy, very all-American. Certainly not everyone's cup of tea, but I found it adorable, and if I had a summer cabin out in Nantucket, I would certainly furnish it with some of their wares.
