Giraffe Manor

Forget Disney, I'd argue any day that this is the most magical place on earth. It's called Giraffe Manor, located in Nairobi, Kenya, and it looks absolutely fantastical. Somebody please take me there!!

Let 'Em Eat

Loving these colorful photos by NY photographer Geoff Levy. And I'm also now really hungry...

Wanderlusting: Paris

Well folks, it's here. It's officially fall. I can't lie- unlike the general public, fall is not my favorite season. I pretty much just see it as the two weeks before the horrendous six months of winter sets in (I live in the midwest; this is not an exaggeration). Of course, there are some nice things about the season, namely, pumpkin everything, and Halloween, and... well, those are about the only things I like about fall. I wouldn't mind however, spending the season in beautiful Paris. Everything's better in Paris, naturally.

Moody: Circus

Making mood boards has always been one of my favorite parts of my design process, and also an incredibly helpful thing for me to do when starting a new project. However, it's also fun sometimes to just make them with no end point necessarily in mind. I got a new computer yesterday, my first big adult purchase of my soon to be "adult" life, and naturally I could not wait to start designing. Here's a random mood board I just put together last night that I really love. Don't know what I might use it for, but I really enjoy the playfulness of it.

Makeup-Free Marc Jacobs

In a bold move for the fashion industry, all the models in Marc Jacobs' Spring '15 ready to wear show walked the runway sans-makeup.

SPOILER ALERT: They all still looked stunning.

As a woman with a fairly paired down beauty routine herself, I must say, I appreciate this. Of course, I also subsequently feel like shit because I don't look even a fraction as good as these gals do when I go au naturale. But big ups to MJ, either way! I can dig it.

ChiDM

I made an incredible, albeit, embarrassing find today- the Chicago Design Museum. While it opened this June, I only just discovered its existence. (Clearly, I gotta get out more) Located on the third floor of Block 37 on State street, the museum celebrates all things design from all over the globe. Suffice it to say, I'm obsessed. (And, I want to by every last thing in their gift shop)

Wanderlusting: Indonesia

For as long as I've been a student (which by now, feels like an eternity), my mom has promised me a graduation trip to anywhere in the world. Well, after some discussion, careful consideration, and a kind of knee jerk decision on my part (gotta go with the gut sometimes), we've decided on Indonesia! We wanted somewhere that neither of us has been to, and while I was originally leaning toward Morocco, I ultimately decided I wanted to go somewhere that would be totally unlike any place I'd been before (I've already been to two Muslim countries, the U.A.E., and Turkey). I hate to use the word exotic, but Bali just looks and sounds so foreign and enticing, not to mention breathtakingly beautiful. I can not wait!

Just gorgeous, right?! All images a via my Pinterest.

Aynhoe Park

Just sent my boyfriend an e-mail with subject of "holy shit balls" because I couldn't think of any other way to properly express how I feel about this dreamy English estate. If we had all the money in the world, this would totally be my future wedding venue. Or, you know, just move right in and live there forever and ever.

Travel Wish List: DvF Saluti Luggage

I mean, right?! It's just so good!

Absolutely dying for this gorgeous and classic DvF luggage. It's available to buy online from Zappos, but I also hear it may be found at TJ Maxx as well. Might just have to take a look-see soon...

Savoring Summer

Summer's almost over, and I can't help but to be a little resentful. It took a long time for the temps to warm up here in Chicago, and once they finally did, I never got a chance to enjoy it, especially with a beach day, between work and school. However, I am quite enjoying these neat paintings by artist Philip Barlow. It's incredible the blurred technique he utilized; it almost makes them hard to look at, but at the same time, you can't look away.
